eCode Chinese Input Method - Release Notes eCode v1.20 Release Notes The Stroke has been totally redefined to be more consistent. The Stroke Order is now less strict. The manual has yet to be updated. eCode v1.10 Release Notes Modify the way eCode send the unicode character to the target applications. eCode used to update the ClipBuffer and then send a CTRL-V to the application to paste the character. That explains why your application sometimes display a 'v' character insteads of what you select. eCode now send the unicode character directly to the application. The 'v' character problem is resolved with this modification. There are some applications such as Photoshop 7.0 who do not recognize Unicode character sent directly. As such, it is still possible to use the legacy CTRL-V method by selecting the menu Output->Legacy(Paste). eCode v1.09 Release Notes Only available on Windows 2000 and XP platforms. Incorporate CJK Unified Ideographs Extension A (Range: 3400-4DBF) into eCode. First 256 characters of Unified Ideographs created in ecodeExtA.ttf. ecodeExtA.ttf will be continually updated as more characters are created. eCode will only show the extension A character set if ecodeExtA.ttf is installed in the Font Directory. Speech is now implemented on eCode using Microsoft Text to Speech Technology. You will need to download and install the Microsoft Speech Module for speech to work on eCode. To enable speech on eCode Select the Pronouce Menu. This menu will not be visible if you have not installed the Microsoft Speech module. Select any character and enter TAB to pronounce the character. If there are more than one pronunciations, each will be pronounce in turn. Phrases between 2 and 8 characters will be automatically defined if there are more than 5(2),4(3),3(4),2(5),2(5),2(6),2(7),2(8) occurences within an eCode session. The digit within the brackets denotes the number of characters in the phrase. To get eCode to create commonly used phrases automatically, Select Menu->Phrase->Auto Phrase. To define commonly use phrases, Select Menu->Phrase->Define Ensure focus is on the Define Phrase window by clicking on it with the mouse Enter a phrase and press ENTER to define the phrase. When you have finished defining all your phrases, press CTRL ENTER to close the Define Phrase Window.
