The most difficult aspect of inputting Chinese is
to figure out the correct inputs to retrieve the correct character.
Some input methods require very few inputs but bring out many
matches such that precious time and efforts are spent locating the
correct one amongst the many matches. Other input methods use the
keyboard to represent the many combinations of basic Chinese
characters such that any Chinese characters can be recalled using a
combination of the basic ones. Precious time is wasted figuring out
how to break up a Chinese character into the basic ones.
Furthermore, unless the basic characters are explicitly marked on
the keyboard, it may be next to impossible to remember exactly which
keys represent which basic Chinese characters.
